Filing your quarterly licensing report

Reports are filed online. If you don't have a SAW account, learn how to register for SecureAccess Washington (SAW).

Follow the steps below to file online

  1. Log into SAW (secureaccess.wa.gov)
  2. Go to your Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC) ‘MyAccount’
  3. Select the "Quarterly Reports" tab
  4. Select the "File Quarterly License Report/Pay Fee" button
  5. Select the quarter you would like to report
  6. Enter the required information and select "next"
  7. Review the summary of calculated fees and amounts due
  8. Select "next"
  9. Enter the information of the person signing attesting to the accuracy of the report, read and accept the declaration, and select the Submit button.

Filing and payment due dates

Quarterly licensing reports and fees are due the last day of the month following the end of a calendar quarter, as shown below.

  • January 1 - March 31
    • Due April 30
  • April 1 - June 30
    • Due July 31
  • June 1 - September 30
    • Due October 31
  • October 1 - December 31
    • Due January 31

When the due date falls on a weekend, the next business day is considered timely for filing and payment.

Reporting your gross gambling receipts

You'll find the definitions for gross gambling receipts by reading Washington Administrative Code 230-05-112, where the definitions are listed by type of gambling activity.

Reporting dollar values

You cannot report cents on your quarterly report. Please follow these rounding guidelines to round to the nearest dollar:

  • $0.50 or less, round down
  • $0.51 or more, round up

Reporting prizes paid

Prized paid means the total number of cash prizes paid out and the value of all merchandise awarded. If you purchased prizes, the value is your cost. If prizes were donated to you, the value is the estimated fair market value of the items on the date they were received as donations. If all the prized you awarded were donated to you, the "Prizes Paid" and "Donated Prizes" lines will be the same values.

Merchandise donated or purchased for prizes, but not awarded, should not be included on your quarterly report.

Late filings and late payments

A late fee of $25 per day, up to 30 days ($750), is assessed for each day you do not submit your quarterly license report or pay your quarterly license fees. For example, if you are one day late in submitting your quarterly license report, you will be assessed a $25 late fee. If you submit your report on time, but your fee is a day late, your will be assessed a $25 late fee. If you are 30 days late, you will be assessed a $750 late fee. After 30 days, administrative action may also be taken against your license.

Amending your quarterly licensing report

If you submitted a payment when you filed your report, you cannot amend your filing until the following day. If you did not submit a payment, you can amend it at any time. Follow the steps below to amend your quarterly license report(s).

  1. Log into SAW (secureaccess.wa.gov)
  2. Go to your Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC) ‘MyAccount’
  3. Select the "Quarterly Reports" tab
  4. Select the "See/Amend Past License Report" button
  5. Select the report you would like to amend
  6. Enter the required information and select "next"
  7. Review the summary of calculated fees and amounts due
  8. Select "next"
  9. Enter the information of the person signing attesting to the accuracy of the report, read and accept the declaration, and select the Submit button.
