WSGC agents seize an illegal gambling machine from Vancouver convenience store

VANCOUVER - Washington State Gambling Commission agents seized an illegal gambling device from a convenience store with over $3,000 in coins on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Gambling devices are illegal in the state of Washington. The store owner, at the 3200 E block of 4th Plain Blvd in Vancouver, was approved by a third party who sold a "coin pusher machine" for $200, telling the owner it was legal.

Upon receiving a search warrant to seize the machine, WSGC agents found the owner to be cooperative, without the intention to break any laws. WSGC agents decided that education would be the best method of enforcement.

The machine had $3,272.64 in coins.

The owner did not intend to break any laws.
