OLYMPIA, Wash. - The Agency's Commissioners appointed Tina Griffin as the Gambling Commission's interim director during a special public meeting today. Tina Griffin has been with WSGC since November 1992 and is currently the agency's Assistant Director overseeing the agency's Licensing, Regulation, and Enforcement Division.
Assistant Director Griffin is a graduate of Portland State University. She also is certified by the Criminal Justice Training Commission, a Certified Public Accountant, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Director Trujillo's last day will be March 31, 2021 and Assistant Director Griffin will assume the Interim Director position on April 1, 2021. The agency's Commissioners will discuss the selection process to permanently fill the Director position at a future public commission meeting.
